ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Dawn Watcher captures the quiet anticipation of a Crested Barbet at the break of day. Perched in the early light, the bird’s colorful feathers glow softly as it waits for the sun to rise. Every morning, it’s the first to announce the start of a new day with its distinct call. Though the forest around it is still, the Barbet’s song signals the shift from night to day, a simple yet reliable marker of time. Even on overcast mornings, the bird remains steadfast, its presence a reminder that, regardless of the clouds, the day will always begin.
